Wateraid's Good Loos are an environmentally friendly, sustainable and self-sufficient block of composting toilets with toilet paper and sanitary bins. The loos are cleaned regularly by their amazing team of dedicated volunteers to keep them sparkly clean throughout the festival.
Alongside the toilets they have a chill out area with beanbags and mirrors and an engagement marquee, an immersive space where you can see their photo exhibition linked to their work in water, sanitation and hygiene and get involved with their engagement activity.
Already, 1 in 10 people worldwide don’t have clean water. The more our climate changes, the harder it will get.
More frequent and extreme flooding is polluting water sources. Longer and more severe droughts mean wells and springs are running dry. As a result, people get sick and can’t attend work or go to school. Their lives, livelihoods and futures are at risk.
But with clean water that keeps flowing whatever the weather, communities will be able to adapt to the unpredictability they’re experiencing right now.
Come and find them in the Upper Kids’ Garden to support their work and help reach everyone, everywhere, with clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene.
