We're really pleased to announce the return of The South West Food Collective at Camp Bestival this year! SWFC collects leftover food from traders and campers at festivals and redistributes onto charities, who use it to support people at risk of hunger.
Thousands of tonnes of perfectly edible food goes to waste every year while over 8 million people in the UK struggle to afford to eat - we couldn't be more proud to be tackling food waste at our festivals this summer by getting it to those who need it.
SWFC will be collecting your surplus food at donation points across the campsite on Monday so please make sure you drop yours off before you leave.

This year your surplus food will be going to Poole Pantry.
Poole Pantry provides people who cannot afford to eat well and healthily, access food through a range of services including the pantry, where people can “Shop” and choose what they need, To Shielding boxes and deliveries to hostels and those that cannot get out. Poole Pantry was born out of a response to the Covid Crisis, and we have helped over 28,000 people and delivered over 106 Tons of food from supermarkets and other doners that would otherwise gone to waste. We are very grateful for being selected by the Lulworth Estate as the recipient of waste food from Camp Bestival. For more information about Poole Pantry visit www.poolepantry.org.uk.
