Camp Bestival are pleased to present French “Fab Four”, Phoenix.

Formed in Versailles in the summer of 1997, Phoenix emerged from the same vibrant French music scene that gave birth to the likes of Daft Punk, Etienne de Crecy and Air, but unlike their more dance focused peers Phoenix have managed to produce a body of work over 3 studio albums that is almost indefinable.

From their debut album “United”, through 2004’s “Alphabetical” to third album “It’s Never Been Like That” they’ve managed to produce tracks that take in krautrock, disco, folk, electro, pop, punk and rock to dramatic effect, all held together by the bands inimitable French chic and undeniable talent.

This year sees the release of the bands fourth studio album “Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix” a glistening gem of an record that could just be the pop crossover album of the year, making their appearance on the Camp Bestival main stage one not to be missed.
