A snowbound Wisconsin log cabin may feel like a world away from the sunny climes of Camp Bestival but without such a cold, lonely place we'd never be able to present to you the magical Bon Iver.

After splitting from his band and girlfriend Justin Vernon retreated to his fathers deer-hunting cabin with the meat from 2 deer, a case of beer and his guitar for company.

The resulting album "For Emma, Forever Ago" was a collection of heartbreaking, lo-fi, camp fire stories of love, loss, honesty and redemption that catapulted the young troubadour to attention of the world's music press, instantly earning him high praise and comparisons to the likes of Iron and Wine and Bonny "Prince" Billy.  From here Bon Iver has built an ever growing following of devoted fans as he continues to grow into one of America's standout, seminal, new folk voices.
