Teenage Kicks in the Den
As our 10th Birthday bash draws ever closer the Camp Bestival crew deliver even more Pop Stars & Rock Stars joy and round the clock entertainment for all ages. Whether you’re a Camp veteran or a CB first-timer there’s plenty to dazzle and delight one and all! The teens of Camp Bestival will be kicking back in their own unique space, as The Den returns for its fourth summer. After a smashing first few outings we’ve mixed up the content even more this year and have whole host of teen-focused fun to keep you away from the clutches of boring parents! We’re honoured to have Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club presenting Ronnie Scott’s Big Band in a Day. Tutors from the iconic music club will be helping super-talented musical kids to form a Jazz Big Band who will get to play to the masses on the Castle Stage! If you’re a budding teen musician and would like to be involved in the big band you can sign up here. Don’t miss Tie Dye Mayhem with Lizzie, East London's coolest craft-chick who will be on hand to customize your trainers with fun tie-dyed shoe laces. We’ll have a meet & greet twin pop sensations Max & Harvey Mills who have amassed over four million fans on music.aly. Marawa’s Majorettes will host a session on Marawa’s awesome new book about the trials and tribulations of teenage life: The Girl Guide. Pass us the sequins and join in our Crafternoons with DIY Festival Fashion workshops so that you can get your headwear on point for the weekend. And hone your festival fashion skills with Glitter & Braiding Workshops with Dust & Dance; learn how to sprinkle your sparkles with the real glitter experts. Sunday afternoon hilarity will ensue with the annual teen quiz, Let’s Get Quiz-ical! Hosted by super fun poet Mark Grist, there are silly prizes galore to be won so don’t miss out. We’ll have more of Marawa’s Majorettes this time with Hoola Madness Workshops. And if all of that wasn’t enough we have awesome new Games Tent with Big Potato. Plus, there will be life size versions of the games with Outdoor Games in the Den Garden, including the ridiculously fun Ping Pong Thunderdome! Situated next door to The Den and especially for the musically inclined, Rob da Bank’s Music Club returns with some epic new workshops exclusively for 13-17’s! And this year you can get political & vocal by writing a protest song or rap then perform it on one of our stages. There will also be a Q&A from the main man himself Rob da Bank.
