Slow Motion returns to Camp Bestival

Brimming with fantastic music, top drawer kids’ entertainment, theatre, shows, attractions, poets, authors, talks and so much more, this year’s Camp Bestival is set to be a festi-holiday whir of amazing activities. With so much going on, it’s only natural to want some ‘me time’ away from the excitement of the madding crowd, so we are delighted to announce that our holistic haven, Slow Motion will be on hand to help you rebalance and re-energise with a programme of restorative therapies, mindful running, meditation, and even a world record attempt, this July at Lulworth Castle. “Because life can get just a little bit frantic sometimes... Slow Motion is back to bring you all the summer bliss you need to come back down to earth. Helping you to treat your festival experience like a holiday, you can choose to keep in shape with a fitness or yoga class in our Witness the Fitness tent or book a therapy, like Thai massage or reiki from one of our treatment tents. And with a new field nestled amongst saplings beyond the Dingly Dell (right next door to the new Frozen Mole cocktail bar!) it truly is a place to come and surrender to all that is totally about you!” Slow Motion curator Gemma Thorogood Sailing Camp Bestival’s calming seas, Slow Motion has everything you need to fuel your body and mind. Indulge in a touch of tranquil bliss and book one of our Slow Motion Therapies, which include Holistic Massage, Thai Yoga Massage, Reflexology, Reiki (including parent and child reiki), Shiatsu and Sports & Remedial rub downs. From mini and luxury facials to a whole range of nail options and lots more, you’re guaranteed to sparkle and shine. Or you can head to The Jingo Glitter Station whose range of hair styling, and face & body art benefits charitable endeavours, which is why ‘look good, feel good, do good’ is their motto. Be sure to get a glittery fix and leave feeling alluring and altruistic! If you’re looking for a place to soothe your baby before bedtime, the Calming Corner with Cosmic Pineapple is Slow Motion’s oasis of peace where you can learn a thing or two about crystals, make a dreamcatcher, paint a pebble, or just find a quite space for breast feeding. As well as feeding the soul with all the best bits of contemporary wellbeing, Slow Motion can feed your belly too with Healthy Food & Drink from friendly foodies who will be offering tasty and nutritious morsels to satisfy those hunger pangs or fuel you for another set of sun salutations. And really taking things to a higher plane, this year Camp Bestival will be the venue to attempt a Silent Yoga Class world record. Open to all ages and utilising silent disco headphones, the record attempt will be based around a story incorporating yoga postures. Over 350 people are needed to be successful, so if you’d like to be involved watch this space for more information. Places are limited beyond the number needed to break the record, so participants will be chosen on a first come basis. A realm of calm and hidden pleasures connecting the body and mind, be sure to make Slow Motion part of your Camp Bestival experience.
