There are just 70 days to go until we climb aboard the good ship HMS Camp Bestival and set sail across oceans of family entertainment! With a whole host of fun and games, music, kids’ entertainment, theatre, shows, attractions, and activities there’s never been so many chances to do something different with your family at Lulworth Castle. And now, due to very popular demand for festi-holiday fun on the high seas a very limited number of day tickets to join us this July are now on sale. And here’s a taste of the ship’s compliment ready to be discovered… image Finding our sea legs on Friday 27th July, don’t miss jigging in the rigging to Rick Astley, Rae Morris, Sara Cox Presents Just Can't Get Enough 80s, The Skatalites, David Rodigan, Jaguar Skills, YouTubers dodie and HRVY, a 20th anniversary special as The Cuban Brothers presents La Familia, Huey Morgan's NYC Block Party, Fearne Cotton on the decks and lots more. Family entertainment will include Peter Rabbit™, Andy & The Odd Socks, Royal Albert Hall’s DIY Orchestra, Theatre Tots, Pirate of Panto, Gorilla Circus, Ninja Alien Pirate Party, Camp Bestival Talent Show, UK Festival Air Guitar Championship, a host of attractions in the Kids’ Garden and the Dingly Dell and more. Hitting cruising speed with myriad mermaids and sailors on fancy dress day Saturday 28th July, we’ll have maritime musical marvels from headliners Clean Bandit, party mayhem from Basement Jaxx on the ones and twos, BGT winner Tokio Myers, Declan Mckenna, teen faves Max & Harvey, rising star Grace Carter, Jane Weaver, Jesus Jones, Stereo MCs, classic ravers Raindance and many more. Entertainment for all the family comes courtesy of the one and only Mr Tumble, risqué duo Dick and Dom, Peppa Pig, the Family Fancy Dress, Pimp My Trolley and Beard & Moustache competitions, Big Fish Little Fish, Dinosaur World Live, Junior Jungle, Kids’ Garden and Dingly Dell antics and lots more. Our final day at sea, Sunday 29th July splices the musical mainbrace with headliners Simple Minds, plus Orbital, Shed Seven, Britpop Brass, The Undertones, Jade Bird, Dub Pistols, The Bees offshoot 77:78, Hak Baker, The Lovely Eggs, and many, many more. Sunday’s family fun and frolics include Mister Maker & The Shapes, Paddington™, comedy from Sean Lock, Dave Johns and Andrew Maxwell, oceanic sounds from the Royal Albert Hall Seafaring Symphony, Ellen Macarthur Hat Decorating, a Silent Yoga world record attempt, lots of fun in the Kids’ Garden and the Dingly Dell and much more, with our renowned Fireworks Grand Finale bringing our festi-holiday voyage to a triumphant end.
