Time to give a massive Camp Bestival welcome to the gods of rave and titans of techno, the mighty Orbital. Renowned for their legendary festival sets the brothers Hartnoll will be bringing their tried and tested dancefloor annihilating brilliance to Camp Bestival with a set that promises to be brimming with classics like Chime, Halcyon, Satan and Belfast. From the moment Chime was unleashed at the height of the acid house explosion in 1990 Orbital have remained at the cutting edge of electronic music, becoming the first electronic act to truly embrace the album at a time when dance music moved fast and was largely disposable, Orbital produced a raft of ground breaking long players that continually pushed the boundaries of electronic music. The brothers were also the first techno act to be taken seriously as a live proposition, through game changing performances at Glastonbury as well numerous world tours they paved the way for the likes of The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers, making dance music not just acceptable but an essential part of live music. It is with great excitement then that we welcome Phil and Paul Hartnoll back to Camp Bestival for what promises to be a spectacular show.
