Isle of Wight Youth Trust

Ever wondered who the nice people were who run the Welfare tents, help get your Lost Property back to you and hand out helpful information at Camp Bestival & Bestival? The lovely people at the Isle of Wight Youth Trust are the ones you and we have to thank. Josie & Rob da Bank are proud patrons of the Isle of Wight Youth Trust, a charitable, independent and professional organisation offering counselling, advice, information and support services to young people aged 25 and under on the Isle of Wight and, in some cases, their parents or carers. Isle of Wight Youth Trust Services:
The services provided are delivered by an experienced and qualified team who follow the National Guidelines for Counselling, offering a fast, flexible and confidential service to young people who are experiencing difficulties. The Youth Trust has been working on the Isle of Wight for over 25 years and has made a positive input to the wellbeing of people locally. Since 1983, the range of issues that have been presented to the Youth Trust team has varied from client to client, but issues such as depression, low self-esteem, drug and alcohol use, family breakdown, peer relationships, self-harming, suicide and many others are very often presented. The two main services that the Youth Trust offers are:
- Youth Trust Counselling – This service is aimed at young people aged 13 – 25 years. - Under 13’s Service – This service is offered to younger clients (under 13 years of age) and their parents or carers. You will be able to find further information about these two services on their website, including who they are for, what to expect, how to access the service etc, as well as information about other areas of the Youth Trust’s work such as Event Welfare, Fundraising and how you can get involved with the Trust. If you are facing the types of difficulties already mentioned, or others that haven’t been mentioned, and you believe the Trust can help you, or if you know a young person who may benefit from the Trust’s help, please contact them here. Volunteer:
The Youth Trust is always looking for people who would like to work at events to help deliver welfare services. If you’re interested in volunteering then head over to their page here. More Info:
