Roy Walker’s ‘Catchphrase’

An extra special treat for all you happy campers, we proudly present on of the world's most beloved comedians bringing to life once more one of the country's most treasured game shows, just for you.

Belfast born, Roy's career started at the age of fourteen as a soprano in the celebrated Francis Longford Choir. He was Northern Ireland Champion Hammer Thrower for two years and served seven years in the army before moving to England and becoming a professional comedian, touring in clubs and cabaret.

In the late 70's he first hit our screens as part of New Faces, receiving the highest score ever afforded a comedian the man never looked back with regular tv slots and sol out tours he was always one of the heavyweights of the comedy scene, but it was 1987 when he became the host of ITV's Catchphrase that he was catapulted into the nations hearts.

Now this is your chance to get involved and really find out what Mr Chips is up to, just remember to say what you see and keep pressing and keep guessing, this is sure to be one of the highlights of the festival.
