Eliza Carthy
As well as performing with The Imagined Village this weekend, Camp Bestival are proud to welcome Eliza Carthy for a special solo set too.
To say that Eliza has musical bones is a little bit of an understatement.
Daughter of legendary folk musicians Martin Carthy and Norma Waterson, she formed her first band, The Waterdaughters, at the tender age of 13 with her Mother, Aunt and Cousin and has since forges her way to the forefront of the British Folk movement.
As a solo artist Eliza has grown to become one of our finest songwriters and performers, garnering 2 Mercury Music Prize nominations and countless other awards, whilst she continues to collaborate with the scenes finest and fair.
Her shows are world renowned, showcasing her incredible talent with the fiddle along with her beautifully emotive vocals, Eliza’s arrangements and performance are extraordinary.
